Getting started
When you’re ready to create a new survey, select the green New Survey button in the header at the top of any page. A dialog appears with some initial options to help you get started.

The Create a New Survey dialog is where you add key information about your survey including the survey title (required), whether you’d like to ask for a participant’s email address, and an optional welcome message to begin your survey.
Survey title
The Survey Title appears at the top of every page of your survey.
In the New Survey dialog, you can set whether to ask for an email address at the beginning of the survey. You have three options:
- Optional: Ask for it, but don’t require it.
- Required: Ask for it and make it required.
- None: Don’t ask for it.
If you ask for an email address, SurveyPlanet checks to make sure the text entered is in a valid email format: for example, name@domain.com.
Welcome message
You can add an optional welcome message to the beginning of your survey. Adding extra information, such as how long the survey takes or any special instructions, helps participants before they begin.
