Making your first survey from template questions

Don’t feel like writing your own questions? No problem. SurveyPlanet has many pre-written template questions you can use in your surveys. When you first sign in, you’ll be taken to the survey list. It will be empty until you create a survey.

  1. Select New Survey at the top of the page, or New Survey in the middle of the page.
  2. In Survey Title, enter a title for your survey (required).
  3. For Email, choose Optional, Required or None.
  4. If you’d like, enter a welcome message in Welcome Message. This message displays at the beginning of your survey for participants.
  5. Select Save.
  6. After saving, you’re redirected to the Question List page. Select New Question from Template.
  7. On the left, search for the type of question you’re looking for, or use the dropdown to choose a category.
  8. After you choose a category, subcategories populate below it. Choose a subcategory.
  9. Choosing a subcategory brings up all the questions associated with it in the center of the page.
  10. Select the Preview icon to preview the question.
  11. Select the questions you want to use by selecting the checkbox to the left of each question.
  12. Select Add Questions at the top right to add the questions to your survey. The template questions are added to the survey, and you’re redirected to the Question List page.
  13. To add more template questions, select New Question from Template and repeat from step 7 until you’ve added all the questions you need.
