API keys

Enterprise users can create API keys to get full access to the SurveyPlanet API and all your survey data. Follow these steps to create API keys for your account.

Create API keys

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Select the Menu icon in the top right corner.
  3. In the sub-menu, select Account.
  4. On the Account page, select the API Keys tab.
  5. Select the New Keys button at the bottom of the page.
  6. After the dialog opens, download your keys or copy them to your clipboard.

It’s important that you save your API keys in a safe and secure place. You won’t see your Client Secret again, and it can’t be recovered later. However, you can create up to 3 new API keys at any time. If you need more than 3 API keys, contact customer support for assistance.

Using API keys

You can authenticate to the SurveyPlanet API by providing your API Client Key and Client Secret in a request. See our API Documentation for details. You can obtain both key and secret on the Account Settings page. After you submit these requirements, the API returns an access token that you can use to make further requests. Access tokens are valid for 30 minutes.

Deleting API keys

To delete an API key, select the Delete icon in the nav on the right side of each list item.
